Privacy notice
How WA CAPITAL collects, uses and protects personal data.
Who we are
This website is operated by WA Capital LLC, 203, 62 Orland Square Drive, Orland Park, Illinois, USA, together with WA CAPITAL's business in India (together, “WA CAPITAL”, “we”, “us”).
What we collect
We collect the details you give us in our forms — such as your name, email address, phone number, organisation, role, investment preferences and messages — and basic technical information such as your browser type and the pages you visit.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and provide the service you asked for.
- To verify investors before giving access to the WA Deal Room, including know-your-customer checks.
- To send research and updates you have subscribed to.
- To process applications for RUNWAY, scholarships and jobs.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, to perform a service you request, and to comply with law. For visitors in India, we handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and its rules.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our services (for example, hosting, email and identity verification), with companies or investors where you have asked us to make an introduction, with RUNWAY scholarship partners where you have applied for a scholarship, and with authorities where the law requires.
Keeping it safe and for how long
We use access controls, encryption in transit and two-factor sign-in for our platform. We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected or as the law requires, and then delete it.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate another person to exercise your rights. To do so, use our contact form and choose “Something else”. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies needed for it to work and, if enabled, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.
